Heirloom Tomato Candle
- In stock, ready to ship
- Backordered, shipping soon
A candle that smells like the vine, not the fruit. Crushed tomato leaf leads, green and stemmy, with wild-harvested tarragon behind it and black pepper turning warm underneath. Nothing about it is sweet, which makes it an easier choice for someone who usually keeps scented candles out of the house.
Eight ounces of vegetable wax, hand poured in Los Angeles into olive-green glass with the Flamingo Estate crest pressed into the back. It looks considered before it is ever lit, and the vessel stays useful long after the wax is gone.
Ships same day or next business day.
Product Details
- 8 oz (226 g) scented candle, single cotton wick
- Vegetable wax: elaeis oleifera fruit oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, cocos nucifera oil, fragrance
- Scent notes: crushed tomato leaf, tarragon, black pepper
- Fragrance built with wild-harvested tarragon grown in Oregon and black pepper essential oil from Madagascar
- Olive-green recyclable glass vessel, embossed with the Flamingo Estate crest
- Hand poured in Los Angeles
- Care: burn 2 to 3 hours the first time, until the top layer of wax has melted fully. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn, keep it centered, and burn no longer than 3 hours at a time. Leave 1/4 inch of wax unburned at the end.
Why They'll Love It
- Green and herbaceous instead of sweet, so it suits people who find most scented candles too much
- Substantial enough to stand on its own in a box, and easy to pair with a soap, a linen towel or a bottle of oil
- The olive glass earns a place on a kitchen counter or a bedside table once the candle is finished
- The 8 oz size reads as a real gift rather than a sample, without taking over the budget of the box it sits in
Perfect For
A housewarming, a host gift, or a thank you to a client who is hard to shop for. It anchors a kitchen box, a new-home box, or an unwind-at-the-end-of-the-day box, and it works as a closing gift where something for the house lands better than something to eat.
