Eat Chic Chocolates Founder Story - Giften Market

Eat Chic has been recognized by national press such as Real Simple, VegNews, and AFAR. In 2018 they won a Good Food Award for their commitment to making delicious and ethically-produced confections.

Founder Lotta Andonian had the idea to make peanut butter cups while living abroad in London and learning that many of her friends had never tried that quintessential treat American treat. Andonian decided to treat her friends her "chic" take on the classic, using extra dark, fair-trade chocolate and organic, palm oil-free peanut butter with a splash of vanilla and a pinch of salt.

Eat Chic Chocolates - Founder Story

Homesick, Andonian moved to back to the U.S. in the summer of 2016 to relaunch the business as Eat Chic Chocolates out of Brooklyn Food Works in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.

We've been busy taste testing Eat Chic's flavors (for quality control purposes, of course!) and can attest eat bite as is luxurious as you'd expect from a high-end, handmade chocolate company with "Chic" in it's name!

Eat Chic Chocolates - Giften Market

The Giften team is passionate about supporting emerging entrepreneurs and inspiring small businesses. In this series, we provide a peek behind the curtain to shed light on the real people pouring their hearts and souls into their business ventures. For these makers, this line couldn't be more true:

“When you buy from a small business, an actual person does a little happy dance.”

And when you buy from a small business that buys from small businesses... the cycle continues! While we can't compete with big box advertising budgets or promise same day delivery, we can band together and make a huge impact, one happy dance at a time.
